World Autism Awareness Day

Just a brief note, as those of my readers who know I have a brother in law with autism may be wondering why I am not blogging about today, World Autism Awareness Day.  I will be blogging about my experiences with autism (most likely) on Friday. Until then, I leave you with this from a site called Greater Good:

"Despite the fact that autism affects people from all walks of life, on a global scale there is still a prevalence of stereotypes and misinformation being spread. Since April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day, it's an ideal time to help increase awareness and celebrate those on the spectrum.

Individuals with autism can be highly artistic, have keen memorization abilities and a high aptitude for miniscule details.

Our modern, global community should be one that embraces and celebrates the wonderful qualities of those with autism. Sign our pledge today. In the comments section, please share what you would like others to know about autism"

Please return on Friday to read more about my brother in law.
