At this time of year, it is time to put the garden to bed.
We didn't have that successful a season, but I should blog about that later this month.
We have to have our community garden cleared out by the end of the month, when it closes down.
At home, we have dug and potted up three poinsettias and an orange geranium.
Our rosemary plants are also safely in pots, ready to be brought in when the frosts hit.
Soon, we will be harvesting our ginger, again grown in a large pot - we got several hands of the root - not hardy here in upstate New York.
The sun angle makes everything shine with a special light at this time of year. I will leave you with one more photo - sunrise in downtown Binghamton, New York today.
Were you able to witness the total lunar eclipse last night?
I didn't see it, but I noticed the moon peeking through the trees in the west while the sun was rising in the east. I'm going to harvest my potatoes soon. The tops have just started to color.

ReplyDelete-The weather is bad here at the moment, torrential rain with more storm warnings! I didn't see the lunar eclipse. :(
Alana, I've been trying hard to get lots of work done, and have been avoiding the internet, so (ironically!) I totally missed the lunar eclipse! That just reminds me of how much news I get off of Facebook! I love it when you write about your garden, you know. I love the photos and all the garden talk. From one garden geek to another: thanks!
