Waiting

I sit, turned off, ignored.
I was once your Magic Phone.
I stored your memories,
I recorded the flowers,
The sunsets, the vacations.
But now my voice is stilled.

Another feels your soft caress
Of fingertips on her screen.
Another looks your questions up
And snuggles in your embrace.

I remember you.
Do you remember me?

    1. I don't know why that poem came to me out of nowhere. Maybe my former phone (which I still own) is trying to communicate with me.

    1. It's a first time for me - I kept that iPhone 4S for over 4 years. Way too long, but I am quite the procrastinator at times.

    1. Thank you. It just came t me - and I was in a position to write it down. Must have been the phone dictating it!

  6. Haha, I was reluctant to part with my first smartphone too, all the photos, messages and memories in it were too much to lose. Nice idea for this post. :)

    1. Thank you. I kept the phone, because the trade in value was not that high and it will be a back up "just in case".

  7. I was planning to change my HTC but got it repaired and it suddenly feels so new. Postponing buying a new one for another six months. Love that poem that makes handset such a part of our lives:)
