Local Saturday - Around the Neighborhood

On a dreary late fall day, my spouse and I took a quick walk around our neighborhood.

This is a fall like few others - one day, over 17 inches of snow on the ground - and, two weeks later, a tree still with fall leaves.

Yes, it really is December.  Even if the grass is still green.

Local stores are selling Christmas goods.

Two pansy plants, the last of the flowers in our yard.

Up the street, mums.

And someone even had a rose bush with blooms struggling to come out.

But most of the trees are bare.  There is just something about bare trees, which I will share in a future post.

I spent a lot of today either shopping for some items I needed or helping to decorate.  Now it's time to enjoy some blogging.

What did you do?
