Spring Things - First Rose and More

I've been saving some nice flower photos for today, just for you, my readers.
Sunday, I saw my first roses, on a traffic divider where I walk for exercise in Binghamton, New York.  These roses have such a heavenly fragrance.  Too bad they don't bloom all summer.  (Note, none of these flowers are mine.)
Alas, the last of the lilacs are blooming.

The azaleas are in full bloom.  Here is a closeup of white flowers.

Bachelor Button, one of the few blue flowers.

And finally, some beautiful dianthus to round out a late spring walk in Binghamton.

Anything blooming where you live?

  1. Yes! We have spring flowers erupting all over the place, wherever there's a free bit of land. Beautiful, but problem is it's AUTUMN. They shouldn't be here yet! Here's a picture of them.

    1. I don't know if I should be pleased, or a bit concerned, after seeing your picture. In the past few years, we've had some spring blooming trees trying to bloom again in the fall, but nothing like what you captured. The weather is playing around with plants, and we don't know if it will end well or not.

  2. I'm in Georgia. I've noticed some lovely Magnolia trees blooming.

  3. Weeds, I fear, are the biggest crop this year. Between the zig-zags of 90 and 30 and between the monsoons, the weeds seem to be the only thing thriving.

  4. Pretty. I think everything is blooming around here. The purple trees have dropped all their blooms all over the place. I can't go anywhere without stepping on them, it seems.
