Storm Clouds - #SkywatchFriday

Last Sunday, just after sundown, a storm blew up in my neighborhood near Binghamton, New York.

Standing on my porch, I saw frightening looking clouds,  But, my spouse, who has been interested in the weather all of his life, told me there would be wind, but nothing else to worry about.

Here are some of the other pictures I took.

My spouse was right.  We never were put under a tornado watch.

The power of nature fills us with awe, as we are powerless to hold the storm back.  We are at its mercy.

  3. We finally got rain last night after several weeks of dire predictions and nothing happening. Lots of clouds and wind, then nada. Looks like it just might rain all day today too.

  4. Gusting winds? Those can be scary in and of themselves.

  5. Amazing. Awesome. And beautiful. Since the Big One in 1987, the people of Edmonton Alberta have become expert on cloud-watching. There really are few sights as awe-inspiring! Thank you for sharing. Great pics! (P.S. glad it was all sound and no fury!)
