The Wait for Nate

Today, some pictures of fall foliage for you, as we wait for what is left of Hurricane Nate to hit our area.
Sumac, turning from green to red.

There will be lots more fall foliage to come where I live in upstate New York.   The unseasonably warm weather (today, it got to 79 at my house - 26 Celsius) has held it back a bit, but the trees know what needs to be done.

And eventually, the trees will color up, and the leaves will fall.

But for now, you can forgive them for being a bit confused.

Day 8 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge #blogboost.

  2. So cool. YOur trees have already begun their autumn alterations. Ours are still sorting their vernal vernacular.
