The Last Hurrah of Winter?

These pictures taken in the Johnson City, New York area on Wednesday.

I hope that these are the last (relatively) fresh snow pictures I send you this year, because we are so ready for spring here.

It was time for the snow to pile on bushes.
The remains of last year's herb garden.
Hard to believe that, in a month, this planter might have pansies in it.
In late May, this rhodie will be in bloom.
And there will be no more monstrous snow fingers.

It got into the 40's yesterday, so there is hope.

Spring arrives on Tuesday, but not in this yard.

  1. Yep. Definitely tired of hurrah-ing. Sigh.

  2. I am so sick of snow, so ready for spring. But they’re saying we might get another storm this week.

  3. Here's hoping for your last hurrah!! I'm not in snow country... looks beautiful to me, but I can sure understand how people get tired of it by the end of winter.

  4. When you say "got into the 40s", I hear, "we're nowhere near spring yet". Hopefully it'll warm up soon.

  5. You sure have lots of snow but spring is a lot closer now.:) It will be nice to see some colour. Even though we don't get much snow, we do get lots of rain and skies of grey so people are always ready to greet the spring flowers.
