Gardens (Florida Botanical Gardens) #AtoZChallenge #blogboost

The Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo, Florida was a wonderful refuge for me from winter.

And better yet, it is free.

The Largo area (on the west coast of Florida near St. Petersburg) had suffered a frost several days before, and the unseasonable weather had taken a toll on some of the plants they have that are frost sensitive.  But there were still many blooms to see, and many plants with beautiful colored leaves.

One of the first plants that greeted us.

Crotons, where I live in the Binghamton area of New York State are houseplants.  Not so here.

Day seven of the Ultimate Blog Challenge #blogboost.  "G" day on #AtoZChallenge - my theme, "Florida Outside the Theme Parks".

Tomorrow, Sunday, is a "free day"  where I can catch up with the progression of spring where I live in upstate New York.  Monday, I'm back with a "H" post I highly recommend - one which may bring you to a high place in Florida  Join me!

  2. Gardens are such a joy aren't they Alana? But I never feel that we capture them on our cameras in a way that shows how they appear to eyes.
