Willow - #ThursdayTreeLove

Consider the weeping willow tree (tree on the right side of the photo).
Otsiningo Park, Binghamton, New York, August 2018
The branches are flexible.   It's one of the first tree to show life at the end of our harsh winters.

They grow where many trees won't, in moist conditions at the edges of lakes or ponds.

It can be a girl's name.

And the trees are just plain beautiful.

The bark is medicinal - nature's Aspirin (ASA), in fact.

What else do you want in a tree?

  5. There is something so wistful about weeping willows as they bend towards the water. Do they always grow near water?
