Rise Up and Flower #WordlessWednesday

I could make this a true Wordless Wednesday by linking to this blog post and saying "what she said". But I am not going to be that lazy.  (Thank you, Songbird).  As my regular readers are aware, I was born in New York City and spent my first 21 1/2 years there.

I'll give you a picture of beautiful double flowered cherry blossoms blooming where I live now, in the Southern Tier of New York State..

And then I will link to this classic sung by Billy Joel, as the Empire State Building keeps the beat.  Stay strong, New York!  Rise up and Flower.

  5. New York, although horribly hit, at least has action and direction in the way the city's being run on a local level.

  7. Hi there- I was born in Brooklyn during WWII , but didn't stay long enough to pick up the accent. Spent some years in MA, then in Bay Area California til at the ripe old age of 17 moved to Oregon until 2018 when we made a short visit of 7 years near Mt Shasta CA and now reside in peaceful Vancouver WA. Still don't have an accent. Have a lovely day and stay well!
