A Couple of Laughs #Wordless Wednesday.

Our local CVS (a drugstore chain) packed my latest purchase in this bag:
Create a Work of Art!

I guess that's one way of looking at a bag.  What would you draw?

My spouse saw it and said "or, you could be the Unknown Comic."

If you are of a "certain age" (and I am) you may have seen The Gong Show (the original one) and The Unknown Comic, whose name was (and still is - he's 75 now) Murray Langston.  He was so bad he was good.

Enjoy.
Joining up with Sandee of Comedy Plus and #WordlessWednesday.

Why not get a laugh or two today?  Everything can't be grim.

  1. To go from drawing your own art on a bag to the "Gong Show". You rang the bell!

    1. Except I didn't draw on the bag. But it sure was nice getting a laugh out of the Unknown Comment. I needed that!

  2. I can't draw, but the kids would love that bag. Well my great grands would.

I remember the Gong show. It was fun and then at times it was a huge groan.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥

    1. Sandee, thank you for hosting. I loved the original Gong Show (when I was able to watch it.)

    1. I even did a post on Gene, Gene the Dancing Machine some time back (remember him?) Alas, Gene has gone to the Great Dance in the Sky.

  4. My favorite "Gong Show" regular was "Gene, Gene, the Dancing Machine." The Unknown Comic was really popular for a while. He'd turn up on all kinds of variety shows. Dumb jokes and a crazy schtick, but at least he was better than Ray J. Johnson Jr.

  6. Wow! I do remember him!

Anybody else here used to make covers for your school textbooks out of paper grocery bags?

Do kids even carry textbooks anymore?

Maybe they could make i-pad covers! :D

    1. Yes, I did the making covers for school textbooks out of paper grocery bags thing. I also remember milk being delivered and the milk company would provide (or maybe sell us, too young to remember which) textbook covers ready to fold with logos of various NY Colleges on them - Cornell, Colgate are two I remember.

    1. No it didn't! But maybe they should have been selling crayons at the checkout counter. Might have been a good cross merchandising opportunity.

  8. I do (vaguely) remember The Gong Show. I was a child, but my parents were fans (or, at least they watched it regularly). I doubt I would put anything on the bag as I'm not much of an ink or paint artist.
