March 1 Skies #SkywatchFriday

March is here.  It hasn't quite come in like a lion, but I know it isn't going to go out like a lamb.  In fact, it's supposed to snow today.

Our up and down winter continues.  I've been working on a temperature afghan, so I'll have a record.  But up and down weather also means up and down skies.

All the pictures are from March 1.

A tree budding out.  It shouldn't be doing that yet.
By the river.
Then, it starts to clear up.
The sun comes out and I got a puddle reflection.

Reflections in a nearby creek end our walk.

Now, it's time to hunker down for the snow.

  1. Nice photos, The fact that trees are budding … it’s been an unusual winter, hasn’t it?

  2. It's strange to look at pictures of winter conditions and budding trees. The two just don't go together.

  8. Oh, I can just imagine the change in stripes during your up and down winter. You picked the right year to do the temperature afghan.

    1. I did pick a most interesting year, but actually (I'll explain it further when I do my "update on this project post" it doesn't have many stripes at all right now.
