I’m 67, and I know that when one reaches this age, he doesn’t even have the speed to put his hands out to break a fall, so this almost guarantees significant injury. I still ride my bike sometimes, but I don’t feel comfortable doing it.Snowbrushhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00436087215476479042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-22665142842584399602016-05-28T13:54:01.990-04:002016-05-28T13:54:01.990-04:00Fear of falling is much bigger than falling itself...Fear of falling is much bigger than falling itself. And I didn't hurt myself badly--just a twisted ankle and a scraped knee. It's silly, but it's there. And, then each fall or failure reminds us of our age- to which we respond by doing less- and leaving ourselves to greater risks.Cerebrations.bizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01273098928740152430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-21495013708933492732016-05-27T08:24:37.247-04:002016-05-27T08:24:37.247-04:00I live in Nashville--when it snows here, nobody go...I live in Nashville--when it snows here, nobody goes out. Only the main roads are salted. But a lot of businesses now pay to have their sidewalks and parking lots salted to avoid lawsuits. It's just cheaper that way. But in Northern cities when it's snowing all the time, I can see where that would be a huge problem.Stephanie Farishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10461865229341760836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-51464606845878223702016-05-27T06:37:33.719-04:002016-05-27T06:37:33.719-04:00I live in Maine where wintertime fear of falling s...I live in Maine where wintertime fear of falling strikes all ages.
