I just savour them with my eyes. Also I have no knowledge of the names. Guess being the city-bred is the reason. The butterfly in the second picture looks magnificent. It is very adaptable and can be found anywhere... in the country, in the suburbs, and in the city. It is one of the most common butterflies in the eastern half of the United States, anywhere where deciduous forests can be found. There are plenty of eastern tiger swallowtails around and the species is not considered to be threatened.Alice Gerardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08843884715361277163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-26378433692157969102016-07-17T18:29:07.917-04:002016-07-17T18:29:07.917-04:00My next phone (mine is four years old) will have m...My next phone (mine is four years old) will have more memory!bookwormhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06589840841266507266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-40518692424295634402016-07-17T18:28:40.945-04:002016-07-17T18:28:40.945-04:00I'm happy to report no damage to the right win...I'm happy to report no damage to the right wing; it was just a bad angle (I was trying to shoot before it flew away to who knows where).bookwormhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06589840841266507266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-25027285234179485962016-07-17T18:08:05.459-04:002016-07-17T18:08:05.459-04:00My iPhone has the same ailment. My iPhone has the same ailment. The Savvy Agehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04590422731538719929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-32889151761977312422016-07-17T18:01:04.519-04:002016-07-17T18:01:04.519-04:00LOL! I don't know the name of the species, sorry, but swallowtail matches the shape of the left wing (right wing must've taken some damage somewhere along the line.)

Pretty zinnias!!!Jenny H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14592134140310108866noreply@blogger.com
