I'm sure she'll be around for many more years to come.Liz A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16531953467834426316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-25023838898601037392015-09-09T12:21:29.528-04:002015-09-09T12:21:29.528-04:00I know that there is talk about ending the monarch...I know that there is talk about ending the monarchy. But I don't see it happening any time soon. Have you see how many people turn out to watch the parades and carriage passings? Every time you see at least a handful of people with the British flag painted on their faces.

I'm not saying it would be an easy decision, and agree with you that as an American, it is really not any of my business anyway.

I am also an avid Anglophile. (I can't tell you how often I've watched some of those British comedies - even the ones from back in the 1970's and such.)LuAnn @ BackPorchervationshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01775630749079885915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-62757376914469094182015-09-09T09:35:15.870-04:002015-09-09T09:35:15.870-04:00I love your posts they are intriguing funny and fa...I love your posts they are intriguing funny and fascinating. ."What a Queen" ;)Sachahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01663095389330621870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-74034731321597576672015-09-09T09:11:11.230-04:002015-09-09T09:11:11.230-04:00very neutral I likevery neutral I likejcravenhttp://theelectricdeep.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-64307589850913961242015-09-09T08:28:30.956-04:002015-09-09T08:28:30.956-04:00Considering that the British ruled India and almos...Considering that the British ruled India and almost plundered our country, we too still have a fascination for their royalty. Indians have our own royalty too. Just smaller kingdoms. Post Independence, and when India became a Republic, they were all stripped of their royal status and some of their wealth made part of public property. But in their own regions, people still accord them much respect.
Corinne Rodrigueshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11142098428026084994noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-33459542751883124262015-09-09T07:08:21.290-04:002015-09-09T07:08:21.290-04:00I still remember coverage of her coronation.
