Yale (Dinosaurs) #AtoZChallenge #WordlessWednesday

Once again, I have a two meme day.  First, Wordless Wednesday, brought to us by Sandee at Comedy Plus (for the link, please see bottom of post). Also, it's Y day in the Blogging from A To Z Challenge.  Two memes for the price of one.

In 2024, my spouse and I visited Yale University.  Visiting their Peabody Museum has been a bucket list item for my spouse since childhood, when he became interested in dinosaurs.  Dinosaurs are one of the specialties of this free to the public museum.

Life size Torosaurus latus dinosaur statue outside the museum. There were plans to erect a garden next to this with plants that grew during the times this dinosaur existed when this was erected in 2005, but if they did, I didn't see signs of it.

The building the Peabody Museum is in.  This is a fantastic museum, as you might expect from a world class university.

I have more pictures, many of them not related to dinosaurs.  Maybe one day I'll publish some more on my blog. Y not?

    Had never heard of this museum. Cool. Did you know that 41% of Americans believe that dinosaurs and man 'definitely' or 'probably' lived at the same time? Crazy. I just saw this mentioned in a novel I was reading. https://ncse.ngo/new-poll-dinosaurhuman-coexistence

    Beautiful architecture to house outstanding dinosaurs. I can still never quite believe such animals existed.

    I grew up in Connecticut and our school went to Peabody almost every year. It's odd, but I loved the architecture more than the dinosaurs even then. This is back when the brontosaurus was a thing.

    A beautiful building. UC Berkeley has a paleontology museum, not all open to the public. Years ago my children participated in one of their hands-on field trips, which they enjoyed. I would like to see more of your photos!

    I had no idea Yale had a dinosaur museum. I suppose they have a huge paleontology department. If not, they should have.

    I know so little about the East Coast since I've always lived in the Midwest and the West. Definitely did not know Yale had a dinosaur museum. I would go! I'm fascinated by dinosaurs.
