If you are ever in that area again, stop in. They have great canoli and my personal favorite, crumb buns, which can't seem to find here in Connecticut where I currently live. They may even have Charlotte russes: ) anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05260543675541611196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-69169060736582227972016-01-07T09:31:01.211-05:002016-01-07T09:31:01.211-05:00Lemon phosphates, anyone? They were covered with irregular pills of cinnamon-sugar-flour-butter goodness (which we called bumbles). I don't know if anybody still makes them. I have a recipe, and I made it a couple of times, but it's very time-consuming. Can't find it around here these days. You can get all kinds of pastries with whipped cream, but not Charlotte Russe.<br />songbird's crazy worldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11473854543986991104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-30808044233133268942016-01-05T08:02:09.689-05:002016-01-05T08:02:09.689-05:00I remember those gems, too.
