And I've enjoyed reading this brief, but inspirational, introduction to some great US Civil War luminaries. As a Scot, it's not a period of history I know that much about - beyond the basics, anyway. I do, however, know a lot about having history in your own backyard and often being the last to investigate it! I'm doing a project just now called 'Beating the Bounds' (got the title and the inspiration from a book review blogger: dovegreyreader), where I'm investigating the history and make-up of my local area, and it's amazing the wealth of treasures just sitting on our doorstep, waiting to be rediscovered! Thanks today for an amazing post. I really enjoyed it.Susanhttp://www.ripplespillers.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8199270158927284616.post-23241393953821025902013-04-28T18:36:32.905-04:002013-04-28T18:36:32.905-04:00Do you know, I have learnt more about America from...Do you know, I have learnt more about America from reading your blog than I ever knew before from history books etc?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08885269624962878415noreply@blogger.com
