(I was surprised one day when the "Air Raid" siren went off; I asked if they still thought the bomb was coming- or did the city have a volunteer fire department...Imagine my surprise when the resident, looking like I was daft, told me what I should be doing...)<br />Amazingly, living in Virginia, we, too, have those visits from time to time- way more times that I enjoy...<br />Thanks for the reminisces --- and the wrarnings! What coverage I've seen is horrifying and I could only take so much of it. But, isn't that easy? I can turn it off. Tens of thousands of people can't. So very sad.
