So this will probably be my last outdoor Garden Bloggers Bloom Day for this year. I don't have too much in the way of fall blooming perennials in my garden, but they do include:
Japanese anemone, and
Yellow bleeding heart.
Meantime, my annuals enjoy their last days of life.
My impatiens, except for my New Guinea impatiens, died from the blight that is hitting a lot of impatien plants in our country this year. But my New Guineas survived just fine. Next year, that is all I am going to plant. Alas, as impatiens grow so well for me.
Here is a Superbells Lemon Slice in one of my hanging baskets.
A Phantom petunia. I like the unusual color of the black petunias but, so far, I have been a bit disappointed at their performance.
In another hanging basket, a Supertunia Raspberry Blast.
In another basket, some fancy leafed geraniums.
But I am saving the best for last. One of my glads rebloomed! Yes, I had cut a flower from it earlier in the summer. The flower looked better several days ago, when I took the picture (not knowing if it would make it to today) but the stem still has flowers on it today. So technically.....
I didn't think glads rebloomed, but I know someone else (a much more experienced glad grower than I am) here who had a rebloomer, too. Like mine, hers has the flowers bunched very close together.

Good job on the reblooming glad!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of your Japanese anemone. Wish I had some.
ReplyDeleteIn our garden, roses are still blooming, the cyclamen-colored Mmme Yvess Perrier climber, and Queen Elizabeth's pale pink blooms are still coming. It's rainy and foggy here near London, but yesterday, patches of sunshine came through enough to dry my washing.
Oh my goodness that lemon slice is stunning!!! I haven;t seen that one before. Beautiful garden Xx
ReplyDeleteAll of your blooms are gorgeous and that reblooming glad is just amazing! Happy autumn.
