August is here in upstate New York. And, it's blueberry season.
Many mornings, we have fog at this time of year. This photo was taken Saturday, along I-88. We were on our way to pick blueberries and go to a local festival at a used bookstore in a small upstate town.
Looks pretty grim, doesn't it.
But later in the morning, this was the sky while we were picking blueberries. So blue.

ReplyDeleteWow, that first photo looks like it was going to down pour at any moment! I'm happy it cleared up for your blueberry picking. Great photos. - Now I'm curious if Idaho has a blueberry season.. I'll have to check on that.
ReplyDeletePerfect blueberry picking weather!
ReplyDeleteInteresting how much a sky changes in one day.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love blueberry picking, used to go in New Hampshire but it's been years. I miss it.
I followed the link from Skywatch after posting one of my own. Our blueberry season here in New Jersey has ended, but it was glorious while it last. Have a terrific weekend and enjoy the berries.
ReplyDeleteI saw "Interstate 88" in your post and thought, "she's not in Illinois!" Apparently, there are two I-88's, one in Illinois and one in New York...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky and perfect blueberry picking weather!!
ReplyDeleteGloom in August... Hmmm... We have mornings like that, but they're in May/June. Interesting.
