I woke up yesterday, the last day of September, to this, a sign that strikes terror into the hearts of gardeners everywhere.
Frost. The end of the growing season. Wait! It was 86 on Wednesday (30 Celsius). You can't do this to us
Yes, nature can do whatever she wants, as so many in Puerto Rico, Florida, Texas, and other places know, all too well. Tragically well.
But we were fortunate. The storms didn't come to upstate New York. The frost didn't come, either. But one day this month, frost will come, followed by the stormy time of the year.
Fall is a time of great changes, weather and otherwise. October, to me, is a time when nothing can be taken for granted. This year especially, we need a break from the bleak news out there - and I hope you will find my blog a safe place to breathe in, breathe out, and then return to the everyday world.
For that reason, this October, I have signed up for not one, but two, challenges.
One is the Ultimate Blog Challenge, where we must post daily. I look forward to meeting new and old blogging companions there this month.
And, also, I am taking part in The Write Tribe Problogger October 2017 Blogging Challenge every Monday and Friday.
What can you expect on my blog each day?
Mondays - a music post (I usually participate in a Blog Hop called Music Moves Me - come join us!)
Tuesdays - anything
Wednesdays - a seasonal post (fall,, where I live in upstate New York)
Thursdays - ThursdayTree Love (biweekly, but I may do it weekly) based on trees.
Friday - SkywatchFriday, where bloggers from all over the world post pictures of the sky - come join us!
Saturday - a local oriented post
Sunday - anything goes!
And on the 15th of the month - Garden Bloggers Bloom Day, where gardeners from all over the world show what is blooming in their part of the world.
I hope today is not the end, but the beginning - of many beautiful relationships with you, my readers.
I will leave you with a picture of squash from a local farmer's market. Happy October!
Today is day 1 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge #blogboost
