Now that it is December, it is time to bring a little Christmas spirit into this blog.
Every year, the Tioga County, New York, historical society (Owego, New York) features a fundraiser called Oh Tannenbaum - various individuals and groups donate decorated Christmas trees and people bid on them. The winner gets the tree (or sometimes just the decorations).
Here are some of the trees featured in this year's bidding:

If you would like to see more Christmas decorations later in the month, let me know in the comments.
Are you decorating for a holiday this month?
Those are some pretty, pretty trees! I can see why this fundraiser is a huge success. We don't have anything like that here that I know of....

I thought of using fishing tackle on a Christmas tree

ReplyDeleteOh, these are amazing! Hmmm . . . do they ship?! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas ornaments. They're always fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking winning the auction bid is the easy part. It's getting the trees home that's challenging.
ReplyDeleteWow this is such a brilliant idea to be done around a festive season! Loved reading about this Alana- thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteBeautiful trees! I finally put up my tree last weekend.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog on the Write Tribe Facebook post - I currently live in Arkansas! Where did you live when you were here?
