What is it like, to shed your leaves and sleep, seemingly oblivious to the cold of winter?
You don't have to shovel snow, or slip on ice on the way to work, when you sleep through winter. I thought, as a tree, I would escape all that.
But the tree me realized I would also miss the beauty around me, such as this sweep of clouds one day in downtown Binghamton, New York.
It sure is cold, though.

The next Tree Love will be January 11, when I will also be participating in the Ultimate Blog Challenge. Will you join me in both?
I will join you for UBC .Loved both the clouds and the bridge in the pic.
ReplyDeleteA bare tree next to an empty bridge. Hmm. A metaphor for ....
ReplyDeleteI agree to this. You don't need to show it is winter, it is a feeling you enjoy.
ReplyDeleteOh, I agree! Sometimes I think I'd love to be a bear. Go to sleep through the winter and wake up skinny! But I'd miss a lot!
ReplyDeleteNice shot.
ReplyDeleteI find it difficult to decide if the tree is more beautiful or the sky! We have mild winters compared to New York so no hibernation for us - or our trees...
ReplyDeleteLoved the way you have captured with clouds:)
ReplyDeleteThat looks beautiful. The sky and the bridge behind complete the picture and this shot reminds me of stone arch bridge in Minneapolis. :)
ReplyDeleteBare trees also look lovely and when standing against a background like this make up for a good shot. I liked your idea about humans in cold climates going on a hibernation. it surely is a lot of work in extreme winters.
ReplyDeleteThe tree with blue background looks like a painting
