Watch Fast #SkywatchFriday

This Friday, although I have awesome pictures of a sunset from last Friday, but you aren't going to see any.
Ok, just one, because you asked so nicely.

But I think what you REALLY want to see are flowers.  Well, at least that's what I really want to see  And they have finally arrived.  I pinch myself daily - am I dreaming? You see, less than three weeks ago, we were still waking up to snow on the ground, or at least flurries in the sky. (If you don't believe me, see the first picture in yesterday's post.)  The Binghamton, New York area can be like that, but that was extreme even for us.
So I tried to work in the sky so I would have an excuse to bombard you with flower photos.
The building in the distance is the junior high (now called "middle school") that Binghamton native son Rod Serling (Twilight Zone and other masterpieces) attended.  Let's call this one history.
I photographed this daffodil Tuesday in the garden of our local library.  Let's call this one "literature".
This reflection is in the window of a local business so we can call it "business".
This one is in my front yard.  Let's call it "local color".  Oh wait, no sky in this one.  Sorry....

Flowers are a precious commodity, where I live.  Our springs after winters like this are rush affairs - don't blink or you may miss them.  I've literally had spring flowers last only a day or two in my yard.

But you don't need flowers as an excuse to watch the sky, do you?

Join Yogi and other bloggers watching the sky every Friday from all over the world at #SkywatchFriday.

  1. My crabapples are all ready to open and now we are looking at three days of rain and temps in the 40's and 50's. UGH! The sky is lovely though this morning.

  8. I planted a tree a couple of years ago, but I forgot what I bought so I'm still in a fog as to what kind it is. It finally bloomed a couple of white flowers this year, but still don't know what it is. There's a picture of the flower on my instagram if you're curious. Your pics are wonderful. Thanks for sharing! hugs

  10. Couldn't have the local color photo without standing beneath the sky. There you go, a connection to skies. :-) I like your clouds in the store window shot a lot. The flowers look like clouds to me.
