Rainy Day Daylilies #WordlessWednesday

The daylily season is almost over for my beds.

We've had a rainy summer and Friday was no exception.
Many times daylilies look beat up after a rainstorm, but not these.
Enjoy.  The season is all too short.

    Rain... in summer? It can rain in summer? I must ponder this. Water, falling from the sky, in summer... Bizarre.

      Not only that, but sometimes, when the clouds break, there is this really bright yellow ball in the sky. It's so bright you can't look directly at it. Would you know anything about that? By the way, we are under a flash flood warning right now. Sigh.

    I love daylilies! They grew well in Georgia, where I used to live, and my only regret is that I discovered this cheerful bloom too late. There were many years I missed out because I simply didn't know about them. Easy growers, they were perfect garden lovelies for a not-green-thumb like me.

    Day lilies are one of my faves! They always remind me of summer drives on country roads ... Another fave :-)
