Appreciating A Blue Sky #SkywatchFriday

The Binghamton, New York rain festival has paused a couple of times this week just long enough to make us appreciate blue skies and puffy clouds.

As I blog this, the rain has returned.  No spectacular sunrises or sunsets for us. 

The plain and ordinary can become magical.  I spend my time in this part of spring looking down at flowers; it is time to appreciate what is above me.
These pictures were taken yesterday.

I also found the last magnolia blossom on a tree while I was looking at the sky.

    Clouds can be a great shot, and rain can be nice (especially if you need it). I hope the weather improves soon.

    If it were not for the rain, we would not truly appreciate the blue skies when we get them! But I really got tired all of those rainy days we had this Spring, too.
    Thanks for your comments on my blog. To answer your question - I think the flowering hedge is a shrub - Privet Hedge - though it will grow as tall as a small tree if you don't keep it cut back.
