Peek-A-Boo Sunset #SkywatchFriday

Today is the first day of summer and the last day of spring.    And, no doubt, it will rain.

So much flooding to the north of us - I have to think, when will it be our turn?

On June 18, I had a distraction.  The weather had been rainy (surprise) but in late afternoon it cleared up.

I was so tired - as much as I love late spring sunsets, their arrival usually sees me pretty tired - but I went outside anyway.  I stayed near my house.

Trees partially blocked the view but that was OK.
I walked a little further to the west.

Still further, wishing I could escape the power lines.

And then back to the trees, where I got one more peek-a-boo view.

Well, maybe two.

    Great sunset. the power lines don't ruin the shot. In fact, they make an interesting pattern. But I love the shot through the trees.

    Perfect name, peek-a-boo sunset. It's been raining way too much here too. On Monday Hubs and the boys had baseball tickets and the weather was perfect, cloudy but no rain. Happy first day of summer.

    Beautiful sunset. We don't get to see much beauty in my neck of the woods. I'm in Brooklyn. But, I do manage to find it whenever I get a chance. With this entire week of rain they've been few and far between.
