Oh, such sweet sky memories.
Two weeks ago, I was watching a beautiful sunset over Lake Ontario in Oswego, New York, wearing shorts and a short sleeved shirt.
And, on the last day of September, this sunrise awaited me. I was wearing a short sleeved shirt and capris in the early morning warmth. Two days ago, it was in the 80's. (27.2 C)
Fast forward to last night. They put the wrong slide up on the weather channel. Right?
Right?
Someone tell me it's a mistake, and our growing season isn't sliding away.
Hopefully you aren't shivering as I join Yogi and other sky watching bloggers today, and every Friday,on #SkywatchFriday.
Day 4 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge #blogboost.
Lovely shots!
ReplyDeleteAlana,
ReplyDeleteIt's been one warm October so far but I think we might finally get a break from the heat. Yesterday it was in the upper 90s. That's really hot for east Tennessee. I told DH last night, our weather is gonna slip from summer straight to winter with no in-between. At least you're not getting snow yet. A week or two ago the Rockies, in Montana I think, got several feet of white fluff. Your sunset photos are beautiful and inviting. I love capturing moments like that when I can! Last night while we were watching TV around 8pm, It hit me the sky was already dark. Gee, only a few weeks ago I could still see the early evening pastel shades across the sky at 8pm. *sigh* Just think in less than month, we'll be changing our clocks again which means night falls even faster. Have a glorious weekend. Happy SWF!
Nope, giggles...I saw the same. Every evening when I come home from school, I drive by our Binghamton and Jamestown exit and think of you, smiles. --Same here in Hornell weather wise. Yesterday really caught me off guard-the temps did not get out of the 50's and it rained all day. Today, more of the same only the temps stay in the 40's. I do believe summer is done my friend, smiles.
ReplyDeleteAs the South bakes, you freeze. See, on average, everything is normal (said the climate change deniers).
ReplyDeleteIt's c-c-c-cold around here too.
ReplyDeleteStunning sunset
ReplyDeleteWow, a very dramatic change in your weather. Beautiful sky shot. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteHere the change was so abrupt. One minute it was summer and I had the a/c going non stop and then suddenly on October 1st it was rainy, cold and although I fought it, I had to turn the heat on.
ReplyDeleteTime for mittens.
ReplyDeleteAt least we don't have snow like Montana does.
ReplyDeleteSame here in Southern Ontario. Love your shot especially the first!
ReplyDeleteI heard the weather changed suddenly for some. Brrr.
ReplyDeleteDear Alana,
ReplyDeleteI love these stunning shots. And the little story behind it all.
Love and cheer
