November 1. Where does the time go?
On Sunday we will get our hour back and the sun will set at 4:54 pm. I can't stand it. I hate the transition back to Standard Time so much, and I know I'm not alone.
But, on the other hand - it will make sunset photos a little easier.
Today, we are under a flood warning until 5:22 (?) PM. When the sun come up I don't know what I will find from the storms last night. Not hearing much on the news, so hopefully the news is good. We got up to 72 degrees F (22.2 C) yesterday. Our expected high for today is 45F (7 C).
Let's rewind fall slightly, in the meantime, to happier days. A rare cloudless day and an uncommon bright somewhat cloudy day await.
Let's go back a few days and take a walk on a couple of mild late October day in the Southern Tier of upstate New York.
A magnolia turns yellow.
Not too much red this year but here is a good example of red.
Contrails criss-cross.

Alana,
ReplyDeleteI'm not looking forward to the time change, either. We got lots of rain yesterday with temps topping around 71º degrees before falling the rest of the day into the 30s this morning. I think our highs are forecast for the 50s all weekend with sunny skies, so that'll be nice. Your fall foliage looks gorgeous! We've seen some nice trees but no opportunity to capture them digitally yet. Maybe this weekend I can snap a picture or two. :) Thanks for sharing. Have a happy SWF, dearie!
Wonderful autumn colours!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Autumn color!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
I know how much flood warnings worry you, I hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteI'm not fond of time shifts, I think we should either stay on standard time or daylight saving time, not switch back and forth.
Your photos are lovely.
Really beautiful skies. I love the contrails. Fingers crossed that you have no flooding!
ReplyDeleteLove.
ReplyDeleteI really wish we didn't do time changes at all, I hate them. Inevitably I get some clock wrong somewhere and end up in a panic.
ReplyDeleteIt's so weird when the temps fall off a cliff. I'm actually looking forward to getting out of bed when it's light again. These last couple weeks have been so hard.
