Nature left me a little gift the other day. If it hadn't been near where I was walking, I may never have seen it.
What a treasure.

Welcome! I hope I bring a spot of calm and happiness into these uncertain times. I blog about my photography adventures, flowers, gardening, the importance of chocolate in a well lived life, or anything else on my mind.

Beautiful feather. It would be hard to not want to keep it being it is so pretty and rare to find.
ReplyDeleteAlana,
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting folklore! You know, I haven't seen a bird feather just laying around like that in forever. You definitely were left a gift, my friend. Have a wonderful Wild Wednesday!!
Maybe the jay just lost his temper and a feather.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful
ReplyDelete...a feather is a magical part of nature.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty blue. I have sassy scrub jays, not the crested blue jays. I still like them.
ReplyDeleteI found a Canadian goose feather like that once. We have a family that lives in our complex in the winter months. (They're messy and vicious.) I didn't keep it.
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty feather. I like the white contrast to the blue.
ReplyDeleteI love birds and their feathers. Sometimes they just fall out to be replaced by a new feather. That's what I'm going to believe.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
Now what I heard is that an Angel must've been watching over me and she left one of her feathers from her wings to let me know she's here. I love that old wives tale. Your feather is beautiful though I hope your bird comes back so you could maybe get a picture of it. I'm sure it's a beautiful bird. I just looked it up and they're beautiful... I've never seen one before in real life. All we see around here are brown birds, crows and an eagle now and then... oh yes, a cardinal now and then too! There's an old wives tale about cardinals too, but I forget what it is. Have a great week girlfriend!
