Trying to Return to Normal

Our part of the Southern Tier of New York is trying to return to normal, even if some events are a bit out of place.

Yesterday and today, we were (are) having both a Four County Farm Trail and Broome Art Trail.  Spouse and I visited an urban farm yesterday - photos, hopefully, this week. Today, we hope to visit a couple of other sites.

Spiedie Fest 2019

Next week, the Spiedie Fest, normally held the first weekend in August, returns for the first time since COVID. It's going to be strange - various changes had to be made.  At this time, I'm not planning to go - I'm still leery of crowds.

Dryden, New York

This event was held last year in an abridged form, but the Ithaca, New York Art Trail will be more "full strength" this year.  Since I can't take pictures of art, here is one of the venues.

Pumpkins, of course, never left us. Which reminds us, a local scarecrow competition starts tomorrow.

The sassafras is turning color now.

Finally, Virginia Creeper.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

  1. I don't think we have sassafras here. Lovely photo.

  3. Yeah, we had the air show this weekend, and this is about when it usually is. A week or so ago, my city hosted a car race that's usually held in April. It's a weird year.

  6. I would love to go up in hot air balloon. Most people here North Idaho didn't change any of there habits for covid, and only reason our numbers aren't higher because of population density. Not a third of my county is full vax. So I play it safe as I can.
Coffee is on and stay safe

  7. I love pictures of bridges! Anything that suggests going from here to there! Please stay safe in your adventures! So happy to hear that some things are starting up again, but you are so right. Caution should guide us! Stay safe!
