The United States, including my area, is experiencing unusual fall weather. A year ago today, where I live in the Southern Tier of New York had a 44 inch snowfall (111.8 cm). Meanwhile, yesterday it reached 63 F (17.2 C). Go figure.
As part of this warm spell, we got to see the sun several times this week. Mostly clear skies! Not that common for us.
I missed a lovely sunrise the other day, but I got to see a couple of sunsets. Let's go down by the Susquehanna River. We need to hurry!
The sun gets ready to disappear behind a hill.Just in time for a bit of afterglow. But wait, the show isn't over yet.
Even after the sun disappears, its last rays linger.
And to all, a good night.

...I hope that you will enjoy many sunsets to come.
ReplyDeleteGreat.
ReplyDeleteVery nice
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blog
ReplyDeleteWhen I commuted to GWU to teach, I used to take the dawn train (The Southern Crescent) and the evening train (also the Crescent- the return trip). I got to see the dawn cresting over the countryside- and except for the darkest of Winter and the lightest of Spring, the sunsets. (I often took a quick trip to the Blue Ridge to catch the sunsets on weekends.)
ReplyDeleteThose sights invigorated my soul. Hopefully, the same applies to you. Especially today- Happy Birthday, Alana!
We're experiencing unusual weather here too. This week it got up to the 70s, followed by whipping winds and a tornado warning.
ReplyDeleteI do love the early morning skies through the trees, I took a few pics myself, but they didn't do the actual sight justice.
Well, isn't that lovely! Such a change from last year, although I would guess you're waiting for the other shoe to drop, weather wise.
ReplyDeleteIs it your birthday? If so, well, have a happy one!
lovely sunset - love the glow in the sky
ReplyDeleteSunsets wait for no one! Glad you were able to capture these beautiful photos, and thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! Is there anything lovelier?
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful sunset.
ReplyDeleteWe've had 80F temperatures this week and then storms, now it is cold and rainy. At least it is not snow.
beautiful shies! It is very warm right now. Here in Montana most of the state has snow, but our neighbor to the east Wyoming has warm weather, high winds and no snow. It's crazy weather
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteDifferent climates... The last two days, our high was 61 (ish) and we've been complaining of the bitter cold. We're getting into the high 30s at night. We're all in heavy jackets and we're feeling the winter. (Which tells you what we're used to here in southern California.)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of beautiful skies!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
