Sugar Frosted Sage #WordlessWednesday

It's cold. C-C-Cold, as I write this. I'm not used to it anymore.  So I'm taking the easy way out for today, sharing a picture I took a couple of weeks ago.

I dislike snow so much. But you have to admit, it sure looks pretty.

For example, take this snow on a sage plant.

Sugar Frosted Sage.  It's grrrrreat!

  1. It does look pretty! We have had ridiculously mild weather for the time of year, about 20F higher than normal. It has turned colder today though and we have blue sky instead of the damp fog of the past 4 days.

  2. Snowy winter? It's completely outside my experience. It looks daunting.

  3. Like you, there was a time when I enjoyed a blast of winter. I've mostly outgrown phase of life. I still like the occasional snow, but long periods of freezing weather no longer appeal to me. Have a blessed week.

  5. It is funny how people are so different. Our mom lives for winter and she adores the days each winter that are well below zero Fahrenheit. She plays in the snow with us because even as an adult, she enjoys it. Summer, on the other paw, is not her thing at all. She is not a fan of the heat. Enjoy your snow from the warmth of your home through a window.

  6. Love the snowy sage and I remember that commercial. Notice the word sugar being used so often. Not anymore.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥

  7. I enjoy some snow, but my tolerance for super cold weather has waned over the years! Lovely photo.

  8. Oh boy- looks like your sage may be a bit soggy when it warms up- that's what happened to ours- but come spring it will pop back up! Have a great day!

  10. I listened to Krista Tippett's interview with Katherine May last week, and she describes the snow so beautifully: "I grew up in quite an unbeautiful place, and snow used to make it beautiful. And I used to absolutely love that. And I now live in a very beautiful place, and snow makes it magical"

  11. What a funny commercial! We are lucky till now, because we had not so much snow. One night and that's all. I do not like the snow in town. But you are right. The image is beautiful!
Happy WW and a fine week!

  12. We've just finished month-long cold snap! -27F! Ugh. Now it's near freezing and we're ready to break out the bikinis!
I agree. Snow sure dresses things up! But I can't help but consider what such a cereal would taste like...

  13. It looks pretty. But looks can be deceiving.

  14. That's all I'll say for snow, it's pretty. Or, it makes other things look pretty. I'm not a fan. Oh, it makes things quiet too. I like it for a day or two. Fortunately, that's how I usually get it! Snow's something you should have to drive to visit for the day. That's how my kids learned about it, driving towards Lake Tahoe (from the SF area) to a sno-park. The state transportation department opens the areas where they park out of season snowplows for recreation, just little hills and such. And a vendor selling snacks and sleds!
