It's time to watch the sky today!
Let's say goodbye to grey, gloomy spring (photo taken April 23) skies with no leaves on the trees.
Let's say hello to the sun, flowering trees, and green!
For almost a week, where I live in the Southern Tier of New York, it was sunny with low humidity and no clouds. The week started out cool. By yesterday we had reached 85F (29.4C) and we finally got some clouds. Let's enjoy some spring photos from earlier in the week.
We took a trip to Ithaca, New York, which has a number of waterfalls. Here's Ithaca Falls on Monday. Two bushes side by side, with a peek of sky, at the Cornell Botanic Gardens.
Finally, two geese a-swimming.

...Ithaca is "gorgeous!"
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely a gorgeous day. in Rochester! /Carol C
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely. It's going to be hot here today. Playing pickleball at 9 am to beat the heat. General rule in TX - 9 am or 90 deg whichever comes first dictates the activity.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who's daughter lives in Ithaca. They enjoy visiting that area (but not in winter) Have a wonderful weekend
I love Fall and Winter but nothing beats Spring with the flowers and green grass and trees starting to leave out and the nice weather.
ReplyDeleteWonderful sky and nature photos ~ Xo

Well, those skies and flowering trees are nice to see! I always love your Ithaca Falls photos. You have been warm! We may get to 70 tomorrow. Or not... I have only planted tomatoes (when it was warmer a few weeks ago), not even seeds for cucumbers or cosmos and zinnia. Too cold at night.
ReplyDeleteI love everything about waterfalls, the beauty, the sound, the power, the thin spray of the water. None around here, need to go back home for that experience.
ReplyDeleteLovely contrast between photos 1 & 2!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice
ReplyDeleteBeautiful places and nature.
ReplyDeleteThe skies have been sooooo blue this week, they hardly look real! You've captured the color beautifully! The colors of the flowering trees against the blue become so intensified! I hope you have a lovely weekend! ~ Maria (from upstate, NY too!)
ReplyDeleteIt finally got warm for you :)
ReplyDeleteHi Alana - lovely views ... and once the sun reaches high in the sky - the weather and light distinctly improve. Our Spring is certainly spreading its wings - cheers Hilary
