When I saw this lying on the grass in our local park, I thought it was a strange kind of sandal.
But my spouse knew exactly what it was. It's part of the inside of a baseball. The stitching should have given it away. My spouse called it a "deconstructed baseball".
And I found how a baseball is made is pretty fascinating. You may, too.

...I find it interesting to see how things are made.

Wow, I never thought about the inside of a baseball.
ReplyDeleteI've not see that kind of baseball before. I had no idea about their construction either.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
I've heard that some hitters can knock the cover off the ball, I've just never witnessed it for myself. Have a blessed week.

My favorite game! And like your husband, I immediately recognized it for what it was!
ReplyDeleteI recognized it right off the bat. ;)
ReplyDeleteNever saw the process! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW and a fine week!
I didn't see the baseball until you said baseball. It is fascinating how they're made.
ReplyDeleteIt does look a lot like a sandal.
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a sandal!
ReplyDeleteHaving 2 boys yep, I knew it was a baseball. Boys are hard on everything, but anything my eldest boy had he wore out, and my youngest boy.... well,.... he didn't care much. If the ball got dirty he wanted a new one or that he lost it. One day I told him.. oh gee, mama doesn't have the money & he went and hunted down his ball. hahaha KIDS... gotta luv em'!!!
ReplyDelete'Someone' went to town on that poor baseball! Our Pandy used to make quick work of one. We had to stop giving them to her!
ReplyDeleteI loved that video! I love 'How It's Made' videos! I wondered how they could machine stitch a baseball. I got my answer. They don't!!!
(I now have a lot more respect for the lowly baseball!)
