Every season has its colors.
These are the colors of late July.
Red and white (peaches), the first of the season. These come from a sate a little south of us; they are hard to grow where I live.
Green.
Orange beets and purple, white and orange carrots.
By themselves, the yellow, purple and orange carrots.
And the white of garlic.
We are reachng our peak of produce and yet, nature is showing us coming attractions of the next seasonal change.
The early goldenrod is blooming. (I wasn't able to get a picture in the car.)
Too soon! Too soon!
Welcome! I hope I bring a spot of calm and happiness into these uncertain times. I blog about flowers, gardening, my photography adventures, the importance of chocolate in a well lived life, or anything else on my mind.

The Jersey peaches and tomatoes finally arrived in our stores. In our NJ opinion, they're the best. The peeps are gonna be making grilled cheese & tomato sammiches as often as they can until the season ends. The Cat isn't happy.
ReplyDeleteThose peaches make my mouth water. Orange seems to be the predominant color in my backyard this July. Various shades of orange pop out in flowers everywhere.
ReplyDeleteWe're getting cherries.
