Last Friday. Our community garden plot. We were doing a little raised bed maintenance on what was going to be a hot day.
And then I saw these growing.
These are mushrooms. An unexpected crop. I'm happy they were outside our raised bed.
And no, I'm not going to harvest these.
Mushrooms are a strange thing. There are so many kinds of them and who knows which ones are really for eating or not. That first shot did look more like potatoes, though.
ReplyDeleteThey look good should taste lovely :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a mushroomtastic week 👍
Are they edible mushrooms? I am always wary of cooking any I am not sure of.

...they are popping up here too.
ReplyDeleteI like a lot mushrooms. The best ever I ate were mushrooms on a bed of apricots: an accidental situation due to a storm.
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable taste!😊
Happy WW and a fabulous week!
Are those the kind of mushrooms people hunt? My aunt used to hunt mushrooms with her kids and she loved it.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a community garden. Brilliant. I wouldn't eat these either. Got to be careful with mushrooms.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
I have fond memories of mushroom hunting with my Dad when I was growing up. My grandmother would can mushrooms.
ReplyDeleteOh wow... i never went hunting for them! Carol C
ReplyDeleteUnless you know and recognize mushroom types, it's dangerous
ReplyDeleteI find it creepy to find mushrooms in the wild. I wonder if those are consumable. I mean, I wouldn't test them out either.
ReplyDeleteCool
ReplyDeleteI know I wouldn't be harvesting them.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
