Fall has arrived where I live in the Southern Tier of New York.
True, the calendar still says August. True, the heat should be back in September for a time. But the sky dragon has spoken.
To me, anyway. The cloud to the left says Dragon. You may see something different. And it says.... fall.
Because the fall clouds have arrived.
I always have to be dragged kicking and screaming into fall, because I know what comes next. And that something isn't pumpkin spice (although there is that, too). It's the "s" word that I wish didn't have to be written in this blog.
Snow.
But not yet.

...a neat dragon!
ReplyDeleteYes, I see the dragon.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, it already feels like fall.
A dragon, yes, but maybe a unicorn?
ReplyDeleteFall is surely on its way! It's almost chilly in the mornings this week. Enjoyed finding the dragon.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you about the early onset of fall. Not happy! Especially when you consider summer also had a late start. Lovely cloud shots, though, and I see the dragon.
ReplyDeleteOr a seahorse!
ReplyDeletePretty skies. That's quite a dragon!
ReplyDeleteI love the dark clouds. Great shots.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning sky captures. I do see the dragon 🐉
ReplyDeleteWe had some wonderful clouds today, got no photos of them.
ReplyDeleteLovely late August clouds. Autumn is actually probably my favorite season of the year. It tends to be most pleasant here along the Gulf Coast. Except when we have hurricanes, of course.
ReplyDeleteI see the dragon! I'm not resisting fall's arrival but I certainly will with the season after. The good thing living here generally our winters are fairly mild. We get a couple of weeks that get super chilly which isn't fun, but tolerable compared to what others endure. I always think of you and my other sweet friends who live in cooler climates when we get an exceptionally cold snap because I know it's probably worse with you. Enjoy the last beautiful days of summer. It's coming to end much faster than I can believe.
ReplyDeleteI would love to think of the end of August as the beginning of fall. Alas, I anticipate heat for the next couple months still. Enjoy your cooling off. I look forward to cooler weather.
ReplyDeleteWe have fall like weather here in Oklahoma but it will get hot again. I love fall because the weather is so nice and it lasts for months and months, sometimes into the middle of December. And we don't get that much snow. Not near like what you get.
ReplyDeleteIt is a DRAGON!
