Last Skies of Summer 2026 #SkywatchFriday

On September 15, the sky where I live in the Southern Tier of New York featured one of my favorite cloud types.

But rain was on its way, and as September 16 progressed, the sky became overcast.

By September 17, rain.

Next week, fall begins, and the temperatures will start to fall, too.

Joining Yogi and other skywatchers each Friday for #SkywatchFriday.

  1. I hate all the rain we've been having, but I love the show the clouds put on.

  4. Nice. Oh, I hope temperatures fall for us. I mean, we're better off than we were last week, but currently we're still in the 80s. I'd love some fall temps.
