My guest photographer was spending Thanksgiving at home, so she didn't have to worry about traveling.
Her friend (me) was roaming around downtown Binghamton, New York, that day before Thanksgiving, taking pictures. The snow came down steadily.
The next day, the photographer went for a walk with her dog. She found herself, on this Thanksgiving Day, near a small, snug, warm cabin of someone she knows. Wouldn't it be nice to knock on the door, and be treated to some hot chocolate?
But, she walked on.
Near the cabin was a frosted forsythia.
Her friend's son, meantime, was three-wheeling, and came upon this scene of off road beauty.
And the friend was finding more beauty in the neighborhood where she lives, near Johnson City, New York.
They settled down to dinner, the friend and her son in one house, the guest photographer and the person in the cabin in another. But they were thinking of each other.
Winter is here.
Would you like me to continue my Wednesday seasonal posts? Or, perhaps, choose a different theme?
I've always loved pictures of snow in the trees. Such a beautiful wintry view. Glad that I see that from the indoors :)
ReplyDeleteI'm happy I didn't have to go to work after that storm. I was able to spend a lot of that day indoors, too. I'm happy you enjoyed the beauty.
DeleteLove the photos! Winter has a beauty all its own. Love this season. Love the seasonal posts. Nice blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I've been doing seasonal posts since 2011 and I think I am going to continue. I enjoy writing them.
DeleteI love the photos - winter scenes are so beautiful! And the turkey is making me hungry. :)
ReplyDeleteThe turkey was delicious, but I can't take the credit. My husband roasted it. Thank you for stopping by.
DeleteThe pictures are so beautiful...I feel like all of them are telling a story...
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun to make stories out of photos. Thank you for the complement.
DeleteI think seasonal posts are fine and dandy, though whatever you feel drawn to focus on Alana. However, seasonal photos can be wonderful! ;) <3
ReplyDeleteI'm going to continue with the seasonal post. I'm happy to bring enjoyment to my readers - that brings me such joy.
