Zooming #AtoZChallenge

It's the last day of the Blogging from A to Z Challenge, and a rare required Sunday post.

And, on this last day of the Challenge, I have a request of Mother Nature:

SLOW DOWN!
March 15
Barely six weeks ago, we had a record snowstorm, with some of us getting three feet of snow.
March 27, Binghamton, NY
The snow melted off, and crocuses and snowdrops appeared.

    Woo-hoo! You made it!

    Is all the blooming making everyone's allergies go haywire? Since we had so much rain this winter, we're having a terrible allergy season here.

      We've had a terrible allergy season the last several springs. I am positive it is connected to our climate change.

    And hasn't April zoomed by Alana? I can't believe we've just done our "Z" posts and the challenge is over for another year. It's been a very busy month and I'm a little relieved to put it behind me and get back to my usual three posts a month. It's been great sharing the journey with you x

    Careful what you wish for. Our beautiful sunny warm days are gone, replaced by cold and wind and rain. And Congratulations on finishing the challenge.

      We're getting that weather now - we're in a middle of a thunderstorm right now. Lows in the 40's predicted this week - unpack the winter coat time.

    Hi Alana, I'm sorry to be so slow in reciprocating for the comment you left for me back on April 9th. I've been taking a break from blogging. As a retired person, my usual routine allows plenty of time for pursuing hobbies but April seemed to be full of obligations, like tending to visits by family from distant locations. When something like this happens I miss a lot that has taken place in the blogosphere, and it's especially true regarding one of my favorite blogs, Ramblin' with AM. I am fascinated with your ability to post so often and maintain such excellent quality with each post. This morning I'm impressed with your A to Z Challenge. Just looking back over the last couple of weeks I found several posts that resisted my attempt to skim over because they were so interesting I had to stop and read all and/or look at the links. For example, the Cornell Alma Mater song played on chimes and the Finger Lakes video from your April 14 post. That post alone caused me to add Finger Lakes to my list of places to see. Then the bridges ... wow, I love bridges and their design and engineering ... from your April 21st. So many wonderful flower pics like the blooms on April 23rd. And your love of trains ... another thing we have in common ... an excellent post on April 24th. I have to compliment you on the way your descriptions are so well written and your captions provide info about your photos. Your photos were the first I've seen of the "Tropicana Train" ... very nice indeed! By the way, I wonder if you are fascinated, as I am, by the graffiti on rail cars? I have to wonder how much of the art on the Tropicana car is by design vs. graffiti. :-) More recently, on April 25th, your picture of the signpost with Durham's Sister Cities ... wow, who would have guessed Durham had so many sibling cities? On April 27th you mentioned growing up in NYC and visiting the '64 World's Fair and your memories remind me of visiting the World's Fair in Seattle in '62.       Thank you, John, for spending some time with my blog, and I will visit your Seattle fair post. When I do my "reflections" post (we reflect on our A to Z experience) I will mention your blog, even though you are not part of A to Z. Perhaps one day you will consider joining us if your family obligations for April change. The challenge is hard, but I think its worth it. You certainly find new and interesting blogs.

    Hi Alana - finally picked up on your name - well done on completing the A-z and I did appreciate reading your posts on Bil and the difficulties he has had, and those you will probably have/are having ... it is always interesting to learn - even if it doesn't specifically affect us.

    Congratulations on finishing the A-Z in such a Zooming fun way .. loved the photos ... the season can spring in so quickly ... mind you it's May Day here and you'd think we were in one of the winter months! When the sun appears it'll feel warmer ...
