What did we see on this late November day?
At one time, dandelions would not have been a common sight - they would have been buried under snow, if they were even blooming.
This foliage should not look like this by now, no matter how pretty it is. It belongs to days or weeks ago.
And, as for this green tree, that is not normal, either. My spouse, in fact, has been tracking seeing the last green leaves for years, in this area where most trees lose their leaves and enter a winter's nap to survive the snow and cold. This is the latest ever we have seen such a sight. The Bradford Pears, in particular, seem to be waiting for something to happen, sitting in a suspended state of part green and part sort-of-red.
Things aren't right. There is a disturbance in The Force.

ReplyDeleteThe trees are almost bare and it was sooooo cold this morning. My poor hands. They were frozen. I didn't anticipate that it would be that cold. Note to self: The phantom hands on your dining room table don't need warming. They are already warm. BRING YOUR GLOVES!!! :D
ReplyDeleteYes Alana we had also observed the same thing last few days ago during fall the leaves has not changed their colour on usual time and since it is beginning of winter, some trees has lost their leaves, and some had not. you are right things are not right. we also feel the same way.
ReplyDeleteEverything here is brown. I was up in mid-Michigan this weekend and the trees all had brown leaves on them. Wonder when they will fall. It was pretty cold today.

ReplyDeleteVery strange. (Don't go by where I live. We had Thanksgiving out in the backyard. I wore my favorite tank top.)
