Just thought I would share some favorite activities we have here in the Binghamton, New York area on the first day of spring.
Picnicking.
Drinking from the water fountain.
Nope, not today.

(Pictures, except the last one, taken over the weekend by my guest photographer.)
Welcome! I hope I bring a spot of calm and happiness into these uncertain times. I blog about my photography adventures, flowers, gardening, the importance of chocolate in a well lived life, or anything else on my mind.

I enjoyed your sense of humour in the post. You sure do still have a lot of snow but now that it's Spring your weather will probably change soon for the better. The last photo is very nice!
ReplyDeleteThere's more on the way. And,this time, DC won't be the island of calm in the storm.
ReplyDeleteHappy first day of spring or is it the last day of winter? Hope that white stuff melts soon!
ReplyDeleteSnowing like crazy here today...in MD...yuck!...this is the most we have had all winter and not done yet!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I've had a chance to visit your blog in several days and you've got a whole new look. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI see winter hasn't loosened its grip in your area yet, but trust me, spring is on its way.
Yikes! Happy Spring whenever it may happen.
ReplyDeleteWe aren’t much better here in Illinois- only no snow!! I have forgotten what the sun looks like!
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring...
ReplyDeleteI am away on vacation and happy to be gone, I don't think Mother Nature is aware of the calendar.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look like spring to me.
ReplyDeleteOh wow. That's a meme in the making.
ReplyDeleteWow the snow bound pics are a delight to my heart Alana- simply beautiful and I wish I could be there too.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like the middle of winter to me. It's all so white. But it looks beautiful. I've never seen snow and I find white landscapes breathtakingly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI was feeling bad to miss the first day of Spring but seeing your photos makes me happy I didn’t wait around ! Spring seems to be as far away as Christmas;)
ReplyDeleteGrowing up in Chicago, I learned that "spring" is just another way of saying "late winter"...

ReplyDeleteFunny that on the first day of spring, a blog post reminds us of the snow, all piled-up in funnyplaces from the ground!
Besides the blog post, those pictures could be used to represent the first few weeks of winter and snowfall.
