After a day Monday that began with a phone call informing me that my mother in law was being taken to the emergency room and ended with her hospitalized with double pneumonia and other issues, I decided to take it easy today.
I am sharing this photo I took Saturday in Otsiningo Park in Binghamton, New York.
I suspect someone saw the same thing in this log as I saw, but added two stones for eyes and some "prey".
Does it look like an alligator to you?
My mother in law is slowly getting better, but there seems to be a lot of pneumonia going around recently, possibly due to our recent weather conditions.
Perhaps that is a blog post for another time.
Welcome! I hope I bring a spot of calm and happiness into these uncertain times. I blog about my photography adventures, flowers, gardening, the importance of chocolate in a well lived life, or anything else on my mind.

ReplyDeleteGlad you found a totem to augment your attitude. Hope you mom-in-law is doing better
ReplyDeleteIt does look like an alligator! ☺ Wishing your MIL a speedy recovery. Pneumonia usually takes a few months to fully recover from, though (personal experience).
ReplyDeleteYour post made me laugh. My post today actually includes the capture of a 13-ft alligator from the park up the road. I live in FL, so it isn't an uncommon occurrence. But I love your log alligator! lol
ReplyDeleteYes, that does look like an alligator.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your mother-in-law. I hope she feels better soon.
Glad your mother-in-law is getting better. I had just read Lisa's piece about a 13 foot alligator and thought--that's okay. Let's keep them out of New York, Beth
