A couple of upstate New York winter sunsets for your viewing pleasure, on this first day of March.
Earlier this month, I walked out of our local mall after an exercise walk just in time to see the sun set. In the setting sun, I saw a number of contrails.
And on February 15, after a late afternoon rain (on a rare warm winter day), the clouds reflected golden hour light in a fiery finish.
March is here - and, in about three weeks (according to the calendar, anyway) it will be spring.
Weatherwise? I doubt it.
Tomorrow will be my 3400th blog post. I'll have to plan something special.

Welcome! I hope I bring a spot of calm and happiness into these uncertain times. I blog about my photography adventures, flowers, gardening, the importance of chocolate in a well lived life, or anything else on my mind.

ReplyDeleteI love how in late winter sometimes, when the light is just right, and the sky is clear you can see so many contrails. I have an app on my ipad that shows all the commercial and many private flights and it is amazing how many planes are up in the air at any particular time.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!
Maybe UFO came by.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
The sky in your first photograph looks like it could have been created with the help of a compass. Congratulations on your blogging achievements! That's amazing!
