Neither my spouse nor I ever owned a travel trailer but we are thinking about getting one now that I am approaching retirement (he is already retired).
We looked at various models, but one intrigued me because of what I saw in a corner - dolls representing an Amish couple. Turns out this trailer was Amish built.
That intrigued me. It turns out that quite a number of travel trailers (and motor homes are built using Amish labor.
This one sounds so attractive but I'm sure it is way beyond my price range.
But one can dream.
And it intrigues me that those who could never drive or tow one of these can build them.
Are any of my readers RV owners? I'd love some advice on the best way to learn about them online.
Nope, not us, but sure want to be and travel the USA. I have quite a few of those figurines, smiles.
ReplyDeleteA lot of reruns of old TV shows are going thru my head. Ones that portrayed mobile homes and such. I don't have something funny to say at the moment so I will have to come back.

Hi Alana - thanks for popping by ... I've some friends who've got a very old motor home - which they enjoy for a few days at a time ... and the family can borrow for quick visits. Your roads are better than ours for this sort of travel - I can't help much more than that .. except to say ... keeping thinking!! Interesting seeing the Amish connection - excellent workmanship I'd have thought ... Enjoy the dreaming - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteMy father and his wife had an RV for several years. They sold it about two years ago having decided that they'd travelled enough. They pretty much hit the whole country and Canada, going on six week long trips. They'd have all sorts of tips like what memberships were worth it for the best campgrounds.
