Sometimes, a sunset deserves two posts. The sunset of July 31st was one of these.
We almost missed the action but the sky and sun have their own agenda.
At the last minute, realizing what was happening, we almost literally
ran out there to get some photos. This photo below is what greeted us as soon as we ran outside our house. I had forgotten to include the very first photo I took (here is Part 1) in my post for Part 1.
I couldn't believe the upright colors.
Now, let's continue the color display from where I ended last week.
So, what happened next?
Just as the lumpy clouds get a little bigger, it's obvious that the show is starting to draw to a close.
The final cloud formations.
Here, the sun wishes us all a good night. A few minutes later, the show was over.

ReplyDeleteAh, so lovely, Alana. Carol C
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset pictures. We don't really get to enjoy sunsets at our house, or sunrises either. Too many trees. But we are glad for their shade in August.
ReplyDeleteI love that you show us how the sky changed!! Spectacular!!
ReplyDeleteYes, that sunset deserved a second post. And it brought to mind the old saying "a picture is worth a thousand words," there aren't enough of the right words to adequately tell the story of those pictures.
ReplyDeleteThese are really gorgeous skies! I love how the colors change as it gets later in the day/evening.
ReplyDeleteI don't have words! How lucky you were to capture that. It hovered, for me, at the edge of concern: was something bad blowing in? But no . . . just beauty.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
