October is a time of some rapid changes in the sky where I live in the Southern Tier of New York State.
Blue skies are seen less and less frequently, as we move into our fall
and winter grey blah sky pattern (except for the white sky when it
snows) but October 4, we were granted these beautiful feathery skies.
A few minutes later
Contrast this with the skies October 10.
What a combination of sky colors and gloom. Soon, it will only be gloom.
Note, I may be a little late getting back to your comments and website, and I appreciate your patience.

...our extended forecast calls for sunny skie, but sooner or later Lake Ontario will bring on the gloomy skies.

ReplyDeleteThe days are getting shorter, already darker longer in the morning, not looking forward to it getting darker earlier in the evening too, the only pretty cloud formations we see then are just in the middle of the day.
ReplyDeleteI love skies like this. So dramatic!

The sky is surely amazing
ReplyDeletePretty clouds. I am wishing you more blue skies and fewer gloomy skies this winter.
ReplyDeleteWhat stunning captures! It’s amazing how the sky transforms so dramatically in October. Those feathery clouds are simply beautiful, and it’s interesting to see the contrast with the gloomier skies just a few days later. It’s a reminder of the changing seasons and the beauty found in each phase. Thanks for sharing these lovely moments! I look forward to seeing more of your skywatch photos.
